Equity

Equity was founded in 2018 by two Lloyds Underwriters fuelled by their lived experiences as ethnic minority professionals. Equity is a recruitment agency and network dedicated to addressing under-representation in the insurance industry and City by fostering vibrant communities and breaking down barriers.

We work with Insurers and City firms to connect our community of more than 5,000 students and professionals with firms through engaging events, incisive research, impactful mentoring, and active recruitment.

The ConnectHive and Equity partnership democratises access to career support, industry awareness and network contacts for young people from historically disadvantaged backgrounds to enter into the Insurance sector. With ConnectHive, Equity is able to offer tailored mentoring to their members with experienced professionals and industry experts along with informative webinars and access to networking opportunities. Several ConnectHive and Equity beneficiaries have kick started their careers by landing roles at brokerages and consultancies, entering into the industry with already supercharged networks.
