REBRAND ANNOUNCEMENT

It’s been three years since the birth of the idea that became Deedbees, and the whole team is so proud to see what we’ve built. We may bring you together, but it’s all thanks to you, the special members of our community, who make the magic happen.

Having listened and learned from your feedback over the last three years, we have decided to refocus the Deedbees brand to represent our impact and objectives better. While much of our core work will stay the same, we’re renaming Deedbees and updating our vision and mission statements to ensure we’re best positioned to deliver and build on our support offering in the future.

INTRODUCING CONNECTHIVE

We’re delighted to introduce our new brand, ConnectHive. ConnectHive focuses on giving young people free and fair access to connections in professional networks that offer career guidance, development and opportunities in a friendly and flexible format. Our mission is to level the playing field by unlocking the wide range of advantages of social and professional connections to all young people, regardless of their background. ConnectHive’s purpose is to give every young person the opportunity to build the life and career of their dreams. One-to-one flexible mentoring with tailored matches will remain a key part of our offering, and we will make additional opportunities for job shadowing, internships, webinars, group coaching and in-person events available.

WHY ARE WE CHANGING?
We – Jessica, Sandra and Suzi – started Deedbees with a specific mission: to make good deeds a part of everyday life, leveraging a technology platform through which one could donate time to support others. It quickly became apparent  that our unique value was something a bit different: our ability to facilitate access to networks of professionals for those who otherwise lack connections. And over time, this offering became more specific to sourcing professionals from a wide variety of industries and backgrounds to share their knowledge and experience with others. An automated and technology-driven solution wasn’t the right fit for our offering, where our members need an empathetic human touch.

For these reasons, we’ve decided to pivot Deedbees into a new direction that focuses on the area where we are having the most impact and simultaneously making it much easier for our existing and future community to understand what it is that we offer. The pivot will also allow us to expand our impact to a broader space to support our community and corporate partners.

WHAT WILL CHANGE?
The Deedbees team – now the ConnectHive team – will continue to act as the connective tissue between young people building their careers and connections in professional roles, companies and industries who can offer access to mentorship, resources, webinars, job shadowing and other career development opportunities.

As a registered member of Deedbees, your membership will continue under the new brand. For volunteers, the team will continue to reach out with opportunities to provide support. For beneficiaries, contact us for additional sessions or support and keep an eye out for new opportunities in your inbox and on social media.

We will change the names of our social media accounts, but the accounts will remain the same. You will notice a change to our content and posts; make sure to follow us on social media to stay up-to-date with our progress.
